Recitation of Quran

In the month of Ramadhaan, the recitation of the Qur’an Shareef has a very special position. Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) would also revise the entire Qur’an with Jibra’eel (A.S.) in the month of Ramadhaan. Thus one should try to recite the entire Qur’an as many times as possible during this mubaarak month.

The foundations of the society that was established by Rasulullah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam) were purity, simplicity and modesty. On the contrary, the foundations of the society hatched by the Jews and Christians are immodesty, israaf (extravagance, wastage and lavishness) and ta’ayyush (hedonism — living one’s life only for the sake of worldly pleasures).

Computer games, comics, fiction novels, apparently harmless cards, metal disks found in various food products … and many other such "toys" have become the "in-thing" with most children and teenagers. Yet, are they really as harmless as they seem? And do they have no effect on the impressionable minds of young children? Many parents have experienced that a great number of these forms of "entertainment" have a dramatic negative impact on young minds. If one looks carefully at these toys, with the spectacles of Imaan and through the eyes of the Qur'an and Sunnah, the danger will be glaring.
