After agreeing on the price, \u2018Uthmaan (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) said to him: \u201cGive me your hand\u201d (as it was their practice that whenever they agreed on a transaction, they would shake hands in order to confirm it). When the seller saw the hand of \u2018Uthmaan (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu), he said: \u201cBy Allah, I will not sell it to you until you give me 10\u00a0000 dirhams (silver coins) more (than the agreed price).\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u2018Uthmaan (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) turned to \u2018Abdur Rahman bin \u2018Auf (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) and said: \u201cI heard Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) saying: \u2018Allah Ta\u2018ala shall admit into paradise a person who is easy-going, whether he is a seller, a buyer, a person paying a debt or claiming it.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u2018Uthmaan (radhiyallahu \u2018anhu) then said to the seller: \u201cHere, take these 10\u00a0000 dirhams so that I may be eligible for these words which I heard from Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam).\u201d (Al-Mataalibul \u2018Aaliyah #1335)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Lesson: <\/strong>Most of us are aware of what is right and wrong and also repeatedly hear about the virtues of good actions and the harms of evil. However, the important ingredient that we lack is conviction in the words of Allah Ta\u2018ala and His Rasul (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam).
