On one occasion, while Zun-noon Misri (rahimahullah) was performing tawaaf, he heard a voice full off grief and sorrow. When he turned, he saw a woman clinging to the cloth of the Ka\u2019bah saying:<\/p>\n
\u201cO my Beloved, You alone know who my beloved is<\/em><\/p>\n My frail body and my tears are exposing my secret<\/em><\/p>\n My Beloved, I have concealed my love for a very long time, now my heart cannot contain it anymore\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n He says: \u201cOn hearing these words, my heart was deeply affected and I burst out crying. Thereafter I heard her say: \u2018O my Master! Out of the love that You have for me, forgive my sins.\u2019 When I heard these words, I could not contain myself and said: \u2018O woman, is\u00a0your<\/em>\u00a0love for Allah Ta\u2018ala not sufficient that you had to ask Him to forgive you due to\u00a0His<\/em>\u00a0love for you.\u2019 She retorted: \u2018Move away, do you not know that there are such people on this earth whom Allah Ta\u2018ala loves before they even love Him. Did you not hear of the verse:<\/p>\n \u0641\u064e\u0633\u064e\u0648\u0652\u0641\u064e \u064a\u064e\u0623\u0652\u062a\u0650\u064a \u0627\u0644\u0644\u0651\u064e\u0640\u0647\u064f \u0628\u0650\u0642\u064e\u0648\u0652\u0645\u064d \u064a\u064f\u062d\u0650\u0628\u0651\u064f\u0647\u064f\u0645\u0652 \u0648\u064e\u064a\u064f\u062d\u0650\u0628\u0651\u064f\u0648\u0646\u064e\u0647\u064f<\/strong><\/p>\n Soon Allah Ta\u2018ala will bring about a nation who He will love them and they will love Him.<\/em><\/p>\n See! In this verse Allah Ta\u2018ala\u2019s love for them is mentioned first.\u2019\u201d (Aa\u2019yaanul Hujjaaj, pg. 170)<\/p>\n Lessons:<\/strong><\/p>\n 1. Love is a two way thing. When we develop a little love for Allah Ta\u2018ala and live our lives according to the dictates of that love, Allah Ta\u2018ala will reciprocate it with such love, contentment and tranquillity that no price can be attached to it.<\/p>\n 2. The love of Allah Ta\u2018ala is not something which is exclusive to men. Often a woman can out do a man in the love of Allah Ta\u2018ala.
