{"id":12297,"date":"2015-11-30T04:39:11","date_gmt":"2015-11-30T04:39:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/alhaadi.org.za\/new\/?p=12297"},"modified":"2018-02-05T05:05:59","modified_gmt":"2018-02-05T05:05:59","slug":"the-importance-of-salaah-with-jamaat-in-the-lives-of-our-akaabir-part-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alhaadi.org.za\/?p=12297","title":{"rendered":"The importance of Salaah with jamaat in the lives of our Akaabir (part 2)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hadhrat Moulana Yaseen Sahib\u00a0<em>(rahmatullahi alaih)<\/em>, the father of Mufti Muhammad Shafee` Sahib\u00a0<em>(rahmatullahi alaih)<\/em> used to very greatly emphasise the importance of Salaah with\u00a0<em>jamaat<\/em>. In this regard, Hadhrat Mufti Muhammad Rafee` Uthmani\u00a0<em>(daamat barakaatuhum)<\/em> writes:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\u201cSalaah with\u00a0<em>jamaat<\/em> was from amongst the very outstanding features in his life together with his\u00a0<em>auraad<\/em>,\u00a0<em>ma`moolaat<\/em> and\u00a0<em>takbeer-e-ula<\/em>. Towards the end of his life when he was constantly afflicted with various ailments and illnesses, he would find it difficult to even move about. Despite this, he would be the first person to reach the\u00a0<em>musjid<\/em> for\u00a0<em>jamaat<\/em> Salaah.\u00a0During his final illness, in spite of being afflicted with severe bouts of diarrhoea and high fever, he would walk to the\u00a0<em>musjid<\/em> with the support of his walking stick. When eventually this became unmanageable he was forced to perform his Salaah at home for about fifty-six days\u00a0days.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">During that period, he once mentioned to his son Mufti Muhammad Shafee` Sahib\u00a0<em>(rahmtullahi alaih)<\/em>: \u2018Shafee`! It seems that I will pass away on account of this diarrhoea. However, I am not grieved by this, for the Hadeeth has counted this as a form of\u00a0<em>shahaadat<\/em> (martyrdom).\u2019<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It was the time of Maghrib on a Thursday night when his condition had seriously deteriorated. It seemed that he was on the throes of death. At that time my respected grandmother addressed my father: \u2018Don\u2019t go to\u00a0<em>musjid<\/em> to the perform your Maghrib Salaah. Read your Salaah at home.\u2019 This ardent lover of\u00a0<em>jamaat<\/em> Salaah in this pitiful state told my father: \u2018No. Go to the\u00a0<em>musjid<\/em>.\u2019 Accordingly, my beloved father executed his instruction. The next morning at the time of\u00a0<em>subh saadiq<\/em> he awakened my father saying: \u2018Hurry up. I have to clean myself. My\u00a0<em>namaaz<\/em> should not be made\u00a0<em>qadhaa<\/em>.\u2019 After cleaning him and changing his clothing he said: \u2018Lift me up so that I could make\u00a0<em>wudhu<\/em>.\u2019 As my respected father lifted him, he noticed that his limbs were motionless and his eyes were raised to the sky. His condition had suddenly changed. After being made to lie down he felt at ease and in this state he began to engage in\u00a0<em>zikr<\/em>,\u00a0<em>taubah<\/em> and\u00a0<em>istighfaar<\/em> etc. Then all of a sudden he told my grandmother:\u00a0<em>\u2018Rasul maqbool sallallahu alaihi wa sallam\u2026\u2019<\/em> This was all that could be heard clearly. He said a few other words which seemed to be \u2018<em>tashreef laaye<\/em> (has come).\u2019 The pangs of death had begun. He began reciting the\u00a0<em>kalimah<\/em> until his voice subsided, but his tongue was still in motion. Eventually there was total silence and the reality of his constant\u00a0<em>du`aa<\/em> materialised:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><em>\u201cO Allah!
