In India, many people began adopting the dress of the West. Hazrat Moulana Maseehullah Khan Saaheb (rahmatullahi \u2018alaih) would, in the most soft and humble manner, rectify anyone he met dressed in this way. He would say to him: \u201cWhere is your topee?\u201d If a child was with and he did not have a topee on his head, Hazratjee (rahmatullahi \u2018alaih) would say: \u201cYou do not have a topee, Oho! Did a crow come and take the child\u2019s topee away? Why did the elders not chase the crow away when it came to snatch his topee? Oho! What kind of a crow was it?\u201d In this manner he would get the message across.<\/p>\n
If someone\u2019s trouser was below his ankles, he would say: \u201cOho Bhai! Look! Your trouser has gone below the ankles. It must not drag on the floor and get torn. It might get messed in the mud. Pick it up above your ankles.\u201d In this manner he corrected them. He never shouted or abused anyone as this in itself is against good manners.
