{"id":15436,"date":"2017-08-03T04:15:22","date_gmt":"2017-08-03T04:15:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/alhaadi.org.za\/new\/?p=15436"},"modified":"2018-02-05T05:05:29","modified_gmt":"2018-02-05T05:05:29","slug":"showing-good-character-at-all-times","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/alhaadi.org.za\/?p=15436","title":{"rendered":"Showing Good Character at all Times"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hazrat Shaikh Moulana Muhammad Zakariyya (rahmatullahi \u2018alaih) once recited the following couplet:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/ihyaauddeen.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/poem.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-9678\" src=\"http:\/\/ihyaauddeen.co.za\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/07\/poem.jpg\" alt=\"poem\" width=\"284\" height=\"32\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It is easy to repay ill-treatment with ill-treatment. However, a true man is he who shows good character to those who show him ill-treatment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Hazrat Shaikh (rahmatullahi \u2018alaih) thereafter mentioned:<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Allah Ta\u2018ala has mentioned in the Quraan Majeed, \u201cWhoever adopts patience and forgives, then that is definitely from the acts of great determination and courage.\u201d The hadeeth mentions, \u201cJoin ties with those who sever ties, forgive those who oppress you, and show kind treatment to those who treat you badly.\u201d Another hadeeth mentions, \u201cThe person who truly joins family ties is not the one who deals with his family in the same manner that they deal with him. Rather, the one who truly joins family ties is the one who joins ties when they cut off ties with him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">This couplet, which our seniors have extracted its meaning from the Quraan Majeed and hadeeth, is such that if a person practises on it, he will surely enjoy peace and tranquillity in both this world and the next.
