Once, while addressing the students of Deen, Hazrat Moulana Muhammad Ilyaas (rahmatullahi \u2018alaih) mentioned the following advice: The establishment of salaah is the means of reforming one\u2019s entire life. However, the establishment of salaah will only take place once the various qualities of imaan mentioned in various aayaat of the Quraan Majeed are perfected. Some of these qualities are mentioned in the following verses:<\/p>\n
\u0642\u064e\u062f \u0623\u064e\u0641\u0644\u064e\u062d\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0645\u064f\u0624\u0645\u0650\u0646\u0648\u0646\u064e \ufd3f\u0661\ufd3e \u0627\u0644\u0651\u064e\u0630\u064a\u0646\u064e \u0647\u064f\u0645 \u0641\u0649 \u0635\u064e\u0644\u0627\u062a\u0650\u0647\u0650\u0645 \u062e\u0640\u0670\u0634\u0650\u0639\u0648\u0646\u064e \ufd3f\u0627\u0644\u0645\u0624\u0645\u0646\u0648\u0646:\u0662\ufd3e<\/p>\n
Successful indeed are the believers, those who have khushoo\u2019 (devotion and concentration) in their salaah.<\/em><\/p>\n In another verse of the Quraan Majeed, Allah Ta\u2018ala mentions:<\/p>\n \u0627\u0644\u0651\u064e\u0630\u064a\u0646\u064e \u064a\u064f\u0624\u0645\u0650\u0646\u0648\u0646\u064e \u0628\u0650\u0627\u0644\u063a\u064e\u064a\u0628\u0650 \u0648\u064e\u064a\u064f\u0642\u064a\u0645\u0648\u0646\u064e \u0627\u0644\u0635\u0651\u064e\u0644\u0648\u0670\u0629\u064e \u0648\u064e\u0645\u0650\u0645\u0651\u0627 \u0631\u064e\u0632\u064e\u0642\u0646\u0640\u0670\u0647\u064f\u0645 \u064a\u064f\u0646\u0641\u0650\u0642\u0648\u0646\u064e \ufd3f\u0627\u0644\u0628\u0642\u0631\u0629:\u0663\ufd3e<\/p>\n Those\u00a0<\/em>who believe in the unseen, establish salaah, spend out of what We have provided for them.<\/em><\/p>\n At the end of this verse Allah Ta\u2018ala says:<\/p>\n \u0623\u064f\u0648\u0644\u0640\u0670\u0626\u0650\u0643\u064e \u0647\u064f\u0645\u064f \u0627\u0644\u0645\u064f\u0641\u0644\u0650\u062d\u0648\u0646\u064e \ufd3f\u0627\u0644\u0628\u0642\u0631\u0629:\u0665\ufd3e<\/p>\n They are the ones who are truly successful.<\/em><\/p>\n In the light of the abovementioned aayaat, one reaches the conclusion that one\u2019s success is subject to the establishment of salaah, and the establishment of salaah is dependent on khushoo\u2019. Without acquiring the desired level of khushoo\u2019, one will not be able to succeed in bringing about the establishment of salaah. In some other verses of the Quraan Majeed Allah Ta\u2018ala shows us how to create the desired level of khushoo\u2019 in our salaah. The way to obtain this khushoo\u2019 is for one to increase the awareness that Allah Ta\u2018ala is watching him and create the conviction in one\u2019s heart that he is standing before Allah Ta\u2018ala. An indication of this is found in the following verse:<\/p>\n \u0648\u064e\u0625\u0650\u0646\u0651\u064e\u0647\u0627 \u0644\u064e\u0643\u064e\u0628\u064a\u0631\u064e\u0629\u064c \u0625\u0650\u0644\u0651\u0627 \u0639\u064e\u0644\u064e\u0649 \u0627\u0644\u062e\u0640\u0670\u0634\u0650\u0639\u064a\u0646\u064e \ufd3f\u0664\u0665\ufd3e \u0627\u0644\u0651\u064e\u0630\u064a\u0646\u064e \u064a\u064e\u0638\u064f\u0646\u0651\u0648\u0646\u064e \u0623\u064e\u0646\u0651\u064e\u0647\u064f\u0645 \u0645\u064f\u0644\u0640\u0670\u0642\u0648\u0627 \u0631\u064e\u0628\u0650\u0651\u0647\u0650\u0645 \u0648\u064e\u0623\u064e\u0646\u0651\u064e\u0647\u064f\u0645 \u0625\u0650\u0644\u064e\u064a\u0647\u0650 \u0631\u0670\u062c\u0650\u0639\u0648\u0646\u064e \ufd3f\u0627\u0644\u0628\u0642\u0631\u0629:\u0664\u0666\ufd3e<\/p>\n Indeed it (salaah) is difficult except for those who possess khushoo\u2019 (devotion and concentration in their salaah). They are those who have conviction and certainty that they are to meet their Lord, and that they are to return to Him.<\/em><\/p>\n The mention of aakhirat in this verse is not confined to bringing the conviction of the aakhirat but can also be applied to bringing the conviction of standing before Allah Ta\u2018ala during salaah and at all times.
