Hazrat Moulana Muhammad Ilyaas (rahmatullahi \u2018alaih) once mentioned the following advice to a certain \u2018Aalim who had come to visit Moulana (rahimahullah) when he was ill:<\/p>\n
A Muslim should only meet a Muslim for the sake of upholding Islam (i.e. to fulfil the rights of Islam and the rights of a Muslim). Otherwise, what is the difference between Muslims meeting one another and the non-Muslims meeting one another?<\/p>\n
You should remain here (in Nizaamuddeen) and observe this effort of ours. Without remaining here for some time and observing the work first-hand, it will be difficult for one to understand our message and realize our objective.<\/p>\n
The actual purpose of this effort is to restore people\u2019s relationship with Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam), as their relationship with Rasulullah (sallallahu \u2018alaihi wasallam) has died. Hence, there is a great need for us to revive this relationship and for us to remain committed to this effort until our death.<\/p>\n
