When last were we blessed with the complete recitation of the Quraan Majeed? Among the rights of the Quraan Majeed is to complete at least two khatams a year. We want everyone to fulfill our rights, let us start by fulfilling the right of the Quraan Majeed. Let not a day of purity pass by without us having recited a portion of the Quraan Majeed. If on any day we are extremely tired or busy, then the least we can do is to open the Quraan Majeed and recite a few lines. A day passed without reciting the Quraan Majeed is like a gold chain with a link missing. That chain is incomplete and cannot be used.
The Quraan Majeed must become part of our lives, to the extent that the day it is not recited we should become restless and uneasy that something is missing in our life today. We make time for everything in our lives, surely we can make time for the Quraan Majeed, the beautiful words of our Allah Ta‘ala. While this is a right of the Quraan Majeed, out of his grace and mercy Allah Ta‘ala rewards us for its recitation. Upon the recitation of every letter one is blessed with at least ten rewards. Thus the recitation of Surah Faatihah alone will earn us a few thousand rewards. Therefore let us reap the maximum by reciting the Quraan Majeed daily.
