Hazrat Moulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi (rahmatullahi ‘alaih) once mentioned the following:
Most people do not pay attention towards the upbringing of their children. They say, “(There is no need to teach him at this stage because) he is still a child,” whereas they do not understand that the values instilled within the child in his childhood are such that they are firmly embedded within him and remain with him till the end of his life. In reality, this is the actual time to mould the character of the child and create the correct Islamic mindset within him.
