Hadhrat Raipuri (rahmatullahi alaih) would attach extreme importance to the month of Ramadhaan. On the 29th of Sha`baan, he would meet all those present and tell them: “Brothers, we shall meet on the day of Eid.” Even those who would come from afar to spend Ramadhaan would not have the opportunity of meeting him. They as well would only meet him on the day of Eid. However, Hadhrat Shah Sahib’s very close attendants would be given some time to sit with him when Moulana Abdul Qadir Sahib (rahmatullai alaih) would take one or two cups of tea to him after Taraaweeh. This was the only time they would get during the day to meet Hadhrat.

On one occasion, Hadhrat Shaikh Moulana Muhammad Zakariyya(rahmatullahi alaih) wrote to Hadhrat Shah Sahib (rahmatullahi alaih)requesting his permission to spend some time in his company during the month of Ramadhaan. In reply, Hadhrat Shah Sahib wrote: “I do not travel anywhere during the month of Ramadhaan nor do I meet anybody. Hence, remain occupied in your work wherever you are.” (Wasf-e-Shaikh, p. 219)
