Hadhrat Umar (radiyallahu anhu) reports that he heard Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) saying, “All actions are judged according to the intention and every person will receive that which he intended. Thus, whoever’s migration was towards Allah Ta’ala and His Rasool (sallallahu alayhi wasallam), then his migration was towards Allah Ta’ala and His Rasool (sallallahu alayhi wasallam). And whoever’s migration was towards acquiring the dunya or marrying a woman, then his migration is towards whatever he intended.”
